Hi friends!
We are ALMOST TO THE END OF JUNE. I have a lot of feelings about that, but mostly Iām glad for the slowing roll of end of year commitments and finally settling into a more relaxed summer schedule.
We're just FIVE DAYS AWAY from our Sunday lawn party at Wickerās Creek and I am so stoked. Iāve been prepping matierials, scouting the location and drooling over all the amazing vendors who will be in attendance.
This summer has been so rainy and after last time, I donāt want to jinx it ā but as of today, weāre looking at mostly suny skies and a high of 86. I will be keeping an eye on things and I will let you know if things are being moved to the rain date on the 29th. We are still located under the willow trees so we will have some shade and a nice breeze coming off the water.
The lunchtime spot is officially sold out, and morning and afternoon timing is filling up fast! I will likely have to close tickets by tomorrow, so go ahead and RSVP if youāve been planning to come.
Introducing our new sitter team
Iāve been on the hunt for experienced, professional sitters with amazing energy and itās WILD how the universe just shows up for you sometimes!
Iām so pleased to introduce Perla and Ms. Crissy āĀ two amazing, creative women with serious childcare chops. Theyāll be joined by Eden, another baby whisperer and local Dobbs Ferry student whom you may have met at the March hike.
Perla has 10 years of experience and is currently the Director of Operations at The Learning Experience where Ms. Crissy works with her as a Head teacher.1

Everything You Need to Know for Sunday
ARRIVALS: Weāll be at the market all day, from 10AM to 4PM. Some folks have signed up for a time slot, but I expect people to roll in and out over the course of the day. If you havenāt signed up for a time slot, feel free to DM me and set a time āĀ there is a capacity limit and I donāt want any of you cuties to have to wait for space to free up.
THE PLAN: Our space will have two zones: a parent lounge with lawn chairs, picnic blankets and games (corn hole! molkky! ring toss!) and a kid zone where our professional sitters will be leading the activity schedule.
BYO food, drinks, lunch āĀ whatever will make the day the most fun for you and your crew.

A massive thank you to our member Nadia, who introduced me to our new member (and my personal hype woman) Rikki Ladds. Her deep experience as a Camp Director has been invaluable as Iāve worked to take our kids experience from good to great.
I am so grateful for the way everyone in our community is constantly looking for ways to help NewFriends grow!
